When warranted, a custom molded or prefabricated splint may be utilized to increase or limit joint motion, prevent or correct deformity, and to improve functional ability.

Any splint wear and its use require that the recipient obtain the proper education/training from an experienced therapist. Our therapists know that this process is an integral part of overall therapy success.

Custom Molded Splints

In conjunction with the physician, our therapists are prepared to custom mold and fit a variety of dynamic or static splints to any portion of the patient's upper extremity. The patient will then be provided with the appropriate education for proper splint application, wearing schedule, and any necessary exercises.

Splinting can often be a beneficial component to a patient's individualized therapy program provided within the clinic.

Prefabricated Splints

When custom molded splints are not essential, we have a vast array of dynamic and static prefabricated splints available. Our therapists can ensure a proper fit.
